Passports and Visas: The United States Department of State advises on their web site that U.S. citizens traveling between the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands will continue to be able to use established forms of identification to board flights, entry and exit.

If you, or someone you are traveling with, does not have a passport, it is required that you present a government issued identification (Drivers License, ID card) as well as an original copy of your birth certificate (with a raised seal) as proof of citizenship. A social security card will not suffice.

However, a passport is recommended for greatest ease of travel, especially since our visitors sometimes decide to travel to the nearby British Virgin Islands when they are in this region.

The State Department advises: If traveling outside the United States or a U.S. territory, a passport or other secure document will be required. For example, a person may travel to and from the United States to the U.S. Virgin islands without a passport or other secure document, but under proposed regulations, a passport or other secure document would be required to re-enter the U.S. Virgin Islands from the British Virgin Islands or another country as of January 2007.

If you are not a U.S. citizen but plan to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands, a passport from your country of origin is required. Please investigate and perform your own due diligence for additional requirements or visas required before you travel.

Taxes: There is no sales tax in the USVI, which makes dining out and shopping in our duty-free stores even more enjoyable-the price you see is the price you pay. The Government of the Virgin Islands has a 10% hotel room tax, which we are required to add to your Resort rate.

Getting Here

Airport Arrivals: Taxis are the quickest and most efficient way to get to our Resort. Drivers know our location and can get you here quickly and safely after which you can quickly start enjoying everything our beautiful property and island have to offer.  Depending on your arrival time many of our guests find that they do not need rental cars immediately. It’s a simple matter to arrange a car rental later when you are settled, well organized and oriented and ready to drive, on the left side of the road of course and begin to explore the island.

When you arrive at St. Croix’s airport, you will find a taxi dispatcher at a booth just outside the baggage claim area. An approximated fare of $20.00 from the airport to our Resort is for one to two persons traveling. The total price will increase for three or more passengers. Round-trip fares are double the one-way fare. The trip from the airport takes approximately 20 minutes. For boxes, suitcases, grips, and liquor boxes, the charge is $1 each after the first one

The Taxi Association provides a helpful chart of fares to other points on the island as well.
